Family Programs

Camp Santa Maria Family Program information will be available in early 2026! The following information includes our 2025 Family Program opportunities.

Introducing: Family Adventure Days!

Family Adventure Days will feature a specific adventure program each day for families to get a taste of the Camp Santa Maria Experience! Days will go from 10am – 7pm, will include both lunch and dinner, and will feature one of: mountain biking, rock climbing, or hiking, along with fishing and other waterfront activities (paddleboards/kayaks/canoes). For members of the family who aren’t interested in the program of the day, Sylvaneers staff will offer other general camp programming throughout the day, such as swimming in the pool, archery, arts & crafts, and games in the field or on the court.

      Open House Days

While Camp Santa Maria is closed to the public, Sylvaneers would like to invite interested families on to the property for a handful of “Open House” days this June to share the incredible history of the property as well as our organization’s vision for this summer and beyond. Included in the registration fee will be a guided tour of the main camp area, games in the field, games in St John’s Hall, light snacks in the dining hall, and crafts in the craft shop. For an additional fee, guests can sign up for a guided hike to The Statue, paint a rock that will be added to the “Santa Maria” sign on the hillside, and for the June 12-14 dates, purchase a pool pass to use the outdoor swimming pool.

      Family Camps

Family Camp will be an amazing opportunity for families to get a taste of summer camp together! All meals and activities will be included in the fee. The days will be filled with exciting outdoor activities, while the evenings will be spent around the campfire (provided there is no fire ban in place). This will be perfect for families looking for time together in Colorado’s beautiful outdoors, for Santa Maria alumni looking to reconnect with the property, and especially for families with children nearing camp age who would like to get a feel for the place and people before committing to a summer camp session.

      Family Camp Activities

Arts & crafts, hiking, gaga gall, dodgeball, basketball, archery, swimming in the outdoor pool, mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing, fishing, exploring Gnome Village, songs and s’mores around the campfire!
